House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff delivers notes after the release of the Mueller report.
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., slammed attorney General Bill Barr on Thursday, stopping just short of asking for his resignation after saying the blackened Mueller report Barr astray, showed led, the American people, with its summary report in the last month.
The House Intelligence Committee Chairman, held a press conference only a few hours after the nearly 400-page redacted version of the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller report was released to the public.
Ship claims Barr “did a disservice to the County by providing false information to the Miller report, by trying to put a positive spin for the President on the special counsel’s findings” in the last month.

The Democrat continued: “On the question of obstruction of justice, the report describes several attempts by the President to mislead the country so as not to interfere with the investigation, make false statements, to ask the American people and to lie to other the American people… that these measures have had a significant impact on the investigation.”
Ship argues that whether the actions were criminal or not, they were “deeply worrying, in which the President of the United States.”
Barr, wrote in his summary last month, he had concluded, based on Miller’s investigation, that there is no sufficient evidence that the President obstructed justice.
“The attorney General is not the President’s personal lawyer, even though he may feel, he is.”

Ship said Müller found that, although there is evidence of the conspiracy, the special counsel could not violate the intent made against the law or the material received from the meeting has been sufficiently detrimental to the fulfilment of the statutory definition – not a criminal case.
“This is a far cry from that to say there is no evidence,” Schiff argued.
He would not say whether he thought that Barr should not be argued, but he had the feeling that Barr was with the American people in mind. “The attorney General is not the President’s personal lawyer, even though he may feel, he is.”
Ship added that he intends to use the full unredacted report, and I would try, the testimony of Barr, said at a press conference that he would request such.
“If the special counsel, as he had made it clear that exculpatory evidence, the President found, he would have said so. He did not. He left the question to the Congress of the United States, and we must consider it.”
