David Clarke delivers as Milwaukee county sheriff
Reason for the resignation has yet to be made public
Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is never take a sheet before the mouth – just look at the response his office has charged a reporter with the question of his security detail.
“‘F— you and the horse you rode.” I am David Clarke, and I approve this message,” Clarke’s office allegedly wrote.
The abrupt, to-the-point E-Mail a reply to the questions of the last week of Daniel Bice, a “political watchdog columnist” for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Bice posted an image of the exchange Wednesday on Twitter, in response to the apparent public demand for a screenshot.
In the original request, Bice, a number of questions rattled about the costs and justification for Clarke’s previous security detail.
“Fran McLaughlin said today that the sheriff ‘ s office, the termination of the round-the-clock security detail in your house. I have a couple of questions for you,” Bice wrote on Sept. 13.
He went on to ask Clarke whether he agrees with the decision of whether or not the detail was a “sensible use of taxpayers ‘money”, and whether he would hire private security services.
Bice had previously reported that Clarke’s detail the cost of the taxpayers more than $220,000 in the year 2017, due to the “variety of threats” against the controversial sheriff, an early supporter of President Trump.
Clarke did not respond to a request for comment.
This is not the first time, Bice and the sheriff had a colorful exchange.
In December 2016, McLaughlin, Bice sent a message “from the sheriff,” with a picture of a T-shirt.
“He said he will always know you have one of these T-shirts for Christmas and need, what size you wear. He said his guess would be extra small, but want to make sure that he gets the right size!” McLaughlin wrote in the name of Clarke. “And no tax dollars are used! That should make you happy.”

Clarke joined the announce from his post at the end of last month, he would be dedicated to the super-PAC America First action, the choice of the candidate, the support of the Trump-Pence administration. Clarke is currently a senior adviser and spokesman for the group.
