‘Serious accident’ at the Airport of Heathrow leaves 1 injured, 1 dead

The two men were injured after the vehicles collided on the Heathrow airport confirmed. One suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the other died after he was rushed to the hospital.

Two airport vehicles collided at the airport of Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, killing one man and injuring another.

The Metropolitan Police force said its officers were called just after 6 hours of an accident on the roadway, which Heathrow in the first instance, described as a “serious accident with two vehicles at the airport.”

This said a man suffered a broken shoulder in the incident and in a non-life-threatening condition. The other, a man in his 40s, was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The airport said it was working with the police to investigate the accident, which is not involved in one of the passengers.

Emergency services are seen attending one of the vehicles involved in a crash early on the Wednesday morning.

He said the airport remains open and staff were working to keep disruption to a minimum. British Airways reported delays to “a small number of our flights.”
