It’s a popular story around the jeugdheldin Pippi Longstocking is being re-made into a feature film. The team behind the successful film version of Paddington is in this story to the big screen, so reported Variety Wednesday.
The first three Pippi Longstocking books by Astrid Lindgren were in between 1945 and 1948 in the matter. They have been translated into 77 languages and have been worldwide more than 65 million copies have been sold.
In 1969, a swiss-German tv series in which the adventures of Pippi and her friends Tommy and Annika, were to be seen. In this series, it was in the Netherlands in the broadcast.
The owner, David Heyman, from film production company Heyday Films, who also is Paddington station, made to see in a Day is a good main character. “Day have a family, inspired by her joie-de-vivre and strength of character.”
It is not yet known when the film was released, and whether the project, as well as Paddington, the animated elements are likely to have.
