WASHINGTON – The Pentagon says the senior advisor called for the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman is temporarily suspended from his function, while a silent accusation of misconduct is investigated.
The advisor is John W. Troxell, Army command sergeant major.
A spokesman of Gen. Joseph Dunford, the Joint Chiefs chairman, said in a brief statement that Troxell will work as a special assistant to the vice-director of Dunford and the staff, while the Army of the inspector general investigates.
The spokesman, Col. Patrick Ryder, says that it is “inappropriate” to reveal the nature of the alleged misconduct.
Troxell has served as Dunford senior advisor invoked since December 2015.
