Sen. Graham provides “after-action report” about John McCain
Sen. Lindsey Graham remembers his deceased friend, John McCain, and the Maverick says, ” the world a better place.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S. C., paid an emotional tribute to the life and legacy of his close friend Senator John McCain in the Senate on Tuesday.
“He could be hard, but the joy you get with him you for a lifetime,” said Graham. “And I’ve been so happy in his presence.
I very much appreciate the outpouring of love and support, thoughts and prayers, many of you have expressed, since the death of @SenJohnMcCain.
It means the world to me.

McCain and Graham, the friendship stretches back to the 1990s. The Arizona senator, died at the age of 81 Saturday, after a year-long battle with a brain tumor.
“I’m not crying for a perfect man,” Graham said during his speech. “I cry for a man who had honor and was always willing to admit to his imperfection.”
He said McCain, teasing him the whole time.

“The humiliation and affection were constant companions,” Graham. “The more he humiliated her, the more he liked you,” the South Carolina senator said on the Senate floor to add that he’s much of a humiliation.

“I’m going to miss those stupid jokes,” he said.
Graham said he remembers especially the concession speech that McCain gave the night he lost the presidency of Barrack Obama in 2008.
“John has taught us how to lose,” he said. “If you go around the world, people remember that his concession speech as much as anything else. There are so many countries to lose in which you can’t afford it, ” because they will kill you.”
He continued: “And John said that night,” President Obama is now my President.’ So he healed the naton in a time he was hurt.”
Graham said he was old-fashioned in his speech, in the guise of a military “after action report” with the code-name “Operation Maverick.”
FAREWELL STATEMENT BY JOHN MCCAIN
On “Hannity” Monday night, Graham, his buddy said, was also perfect.
“But good, decent, honorable John McCain is,” he said.
And McCain loved said his country, Graham, adding, “he had died a romantic view of the nation that never was.”
