Authorities in Seattle, which released a video on Saturday of a suspect on the run after a shooting incident at a city centre light rail train station the day before, left one man dead and two people injured.
The Seattle Police Department said the shooting happened at about 9:20 p.m. at the Westlake Station at the northern platform of the Link light rail. Officers arriving at the scene, three men with gunshot wounds, two with life-threatening injuries.
All three were transported to Harborview Medical Center, where one of the men died. One of the injured men is still listed in critical condition, while the third was discharged on Saturday morning, a Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg told Q13 News.

Witnesses told investigators that the suspect in at least two of the victims were in an altercation outside the station, and that the shooting is not random, according to police.
The Video posted on Saturday afternoon on the department’s Twitter feed, shows the suspect attempting to hide the gun in his waist, he walks up the stairs to the exit, at the light rail station.
The shooting was caused to roads in the area, and the station has to be closed as authorities investigated the shooting.
“We had to close our doors to the public. We didn’t know. We just knew there was an active shooter in the area,” Evee Jolly, who works a few blocks away from the popular Pike Place Market, told Q13 News.
“I’ll take the light rail, night and day. I Had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, such as those that could have been any one of us,” she added.

Another man, Darran, Bruce, told Q13 News in the region, where an argument broke out, and has a reputation for being a “trouble spot,” as well as more civil servants are needed in this area.

Seattle police said they have enough resources to be concentrated in the area now for a couple of months and had been in a position to respond rapidly to the situation once they were alerted to the situation. Bruce, however, said he would be concerned if there are any extra funds will be moved to somewhere else in the city.
“At the time, that is, the presence of the police force, the element will come back,” he said.

Seattle has seen a number of shootings to increase this year, with 15 killed and 55 injured in early September, according to the Seattle Times. In the same period of the previous year, the city saw 9 dead, 45 people injured, according to the newspaper.
