SODUS, new york – the Police in the west of the state of New York are looking for a 14-month-old boy to his mother’s body was found in a bag hidden in the woods.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s office said the 18-year-old Selena Hidalgo-Calderon’s body on Thursday was found in a farm in Sodus, where they allegedly had worked. She had been missing for a week.
Her friend, Everardo Reyes, was arrested on charges of tampering with physical evidence.
The police says the child, Owen Hidalgo-Calderon, was not found. Police continue to search the area east of Rochester on Friday.
Rebecca Fuentes of the Workers Center of Central New York told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle that the Hidalgo-Calderon was from Guatemala and was deported. She says that the mother was in the process of applying for asylum.
