Saudi Arabia: there is No evidence to show that it had a hand in the 9/11 attack

NEW YORK – Saudi Arabia the lawyers say a judge should reject New York the lawsuit of the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks to try to the kingdom of the blame.

The lawyers said in a Manhattan federal court filing Thursday, the plaintiffs lack of evidence, despite a new law by Congress to enable claims against Saudi Arabia. Other lawsuits against Saudi Arabia were dismissed before the Congress a 2016 law allowing the lawsuit.

The lawyers wrote that the Congress “is not a license to plaintiffs to proceed against Saudi Arabia without plausible allegations and the competent evidence in support of their case.” The plaintiffs have not specified damages.

Fifteen of the 19 men in four hijacked planes in the 2001 attacks were saudi nationals.

The 9/11 Commission report, “no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded” the attacks of al-Qaeda-initiator.
