Sarkozy promises Brexit to turn back
The French presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy has on Tuesday promised that he Uk wants to help the Brexit to turn back, provided he is re-elected. He wants to be in that case along with Germany are negotiating a new treaty for the European Union.
The new treaty would be to focus on the reform of the Schengen agreement, the area in which Europeans are free to travel, and stoppage of the accession negotiations with Turkey.
“I would be against the British say that they are for retirement have voted, but that there is a new treaty on the table and that they have a chance to re-vote,” said the former French president, in Paris.
“But this time, vote not for the old but the new Europe. Do you want to continue? The better it is. Because I do not want that we are Europe’s second-largest economy losses, while we negotiate with Turkey about membership of the EU. And it is a no, then it remains a no. You are a member or you’re not,” said Sarkozy.
