A man dressed as santa Claus was reportedly shot at while driving on a Texas highway.
A Texas man will not appear on Santa Claus’ “Nice List” after opening fire Tuesday on an other man dressed as santa Claus.
A man with a Santa suit, whose identity is still unknown, but has been identified by the police as “Santa” and his wife – identified by the police as “Mrs. Claus” – on the way home when the suspect in a red car cut them off, and kept blocking until they are out of the way.
The police Capt. Jerry Cozby told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the driver of the red car and started shooting at Santa’s car.
The man said that the vehicle was hit twice. “I saw them quit and I thought that it was over, but when we started hearing gunshots and the car hit twice,” he said, according to NBC 5.
But the authorities say it is likely the car was hit but once.
“Mrs. Claus showed us something that they thought that the bullet would have ‘bounced off’ the car,” Cozby told the Star-Telegram. “But bullets in general do not bounce off of cars, so I don’t know what I was looking for them.”
Neither Santa nor Mrs. Claus injured, police said.
While the police said that it wants to contact the shooter, the victims could not provide any useful information that goes beyond the color of the car and said that they do not want to pursue the matter.
“Funny enough, Santa didn’t want to make a report,” Cozby told the newspaper. “He had no interest in that, he said that no one was injured. We have information about the insurance for his vehicle.”
It remains unclear whether the incident was a result of road rage.
