Sandra Bullock donates a million dollars in emergency assistance to hurricane Harvey

Actress Sandra Bullock has 1 million dollars (830.000 euros) will be donated to the American Red Cross for the emergency assistance to residents of the state of Texas, who are groaning under the aftermath of hurricane Harvey.

That has the aid organization Tuesday confirmed.

Bullock has a house in Texas, and calls on the Americans to Texans affected by hurricane Harvey to the rescue to shoot. “There are people stuck surrounded by three meter high water,” says the actress.

The Red Cross is pleased with the support of Bullock. “This is an incredible gift. We are very grateful. We received during disasters such as this, many donations and the help of a star like Sandra Bullock brings the relief under the attention,” says the organisation.

The American president Donald Trump has on Tuesday paid a visit to the areas in Texas that have been hard hit by hurricane Harvey. He said, in cooperation with the U.s. Congress to ensure that appropriate assistance is concluded.

Bullock is not the only American celebrity to cash grants to the victims of hurricane Harvey. Kim Kardashian makes Tuesday, Twitter announced a half a million dollars to donate, and also including Beyoncé, comedian Kevin Hart and actor Dwayne Johnson to give money to aid organizations.
