Vermont sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign beat, South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg for what he cut as a “gimmick” to help you, your average campaign contribution amount until the end of the year.

Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Buttigieg called on in the last week in the debate, for holding a recent fundraiser at a California “wine cave,” adding, “the billionaires in wine does not pick the next President of the United States should caves.” Buttigieg fired back by saying he was the only candidate on the stage, which was neither a millionaire nor a billionaire, told Warren, “this is the problem with the issue of purity tests, not pass you.”
On Tuesday evening, the Pete for America Innovation Team is a E sent-Mail to Fans start a “competition”, in which the person making the donation, the smallest one-off amount would win a prize.
“All you have to do to win, donate the smallest amount, the donates nobody else,” the email read. “In other words, suppose you donate $1.00. If someone else also play $1, you lose both donated to exactly. We will see if a player only donated $1.01 and so on, until we find the amount donated, exactly once, and that’s our winner.”
The E-Mail added that “a number of donations are allowed,” and that “this is a fun way to hopefully, a contribution” to the campaign.

Tim Tagaris, a campaign consultant for Sanders, I-Vt., Buttigieg mocked efforts.
“The Pete for America Innovation Team is working hard out on Christmas eve, his average donation amount to come up with gimmicks to lower in this quarter. Funny stuff,” Tagaris tweeted. “This is so transparent and funny. Wow, his average donation was less in this quarter… it’s a Christmas miracle!”
