Sander Hoogendoorn is concerned that one of the 3FM-dj’s who will be participating in the new scheme of Serious Request could possibly fail.
“It is superkoud and wet outside,” he says in the This is the news podcast NU.nl. In the framework of Serious Request Lifeline must be three dj-teams of two persons from different directions in the Netherlands, TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht on foot.
Along the way, they try as much as possible actions to take part, as a way to raise money for three charities, protection against natural disasters, administer cpr in the Netherlands and relief in war and conflicts.
In the podcast NU.nl says the 30-year-old Hoogendoorn: “What we do is never done.” This year, so no Glass House, where the 3FM dj’s are a few days in close. The station announced in september that the action would change.
“The Glass House was a proven concept with a lot of comfort and tradition. But at some point you had enough,” says Hoogendoorn.
“The old guard with the well-known names is gone. We had the urge to do something new what is very of our feeling. I compare it a bit with the situation of fifteen years ago, when the Glass House was fabricated. The dj’s then thought: we want something tofs do something for another. Eventually it has become what we now know.”
Since 2015, it declined during Serious Request to the retrieved amount, but according to the presenter, that is not the guiding principle for the operation: “We have never really focused on. Giving people what they want. So, we have always stood. It is for the media, of course, very sexy on that amount and the years to compare.”

‘Falling luistercijfers not affect engagement
3FM is located for years in severe weather. This week, the decline in the market share of the station again. According to Hoogendoorn, this does not mean, however, that also the public involvement in Serious Request is declined.
“That things will feel is a fact. It is in all aspects different than the previous editions of Serious Request. But I think that the action is quite separate from things like, for example, luistercijfers. Last year was also said that it went not well with the transmitter, I hear it quite a few years, but it was a fun and successful event. Serious Request of everyone, not only of 3FM listeners. I think it is important that as many people as possible on board and that people say: “The Glass House was fun, but this is fantastic and exciting.'”
