San Bernardino terror attack: Terrorists shot up to 27 times during a gunfight with police

The husband and wife terrorists in San Bernardino, were shot by the police to 27 times after their 2015 shooting, according to a new report issued by the county district attorney’s office on Thursday.

The 55-page report detailed accounts of nearly two dozen police officers who were capable of Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik. The report explains how the police are the attackers and the evidence collected, after they are killed.

The police recognize Farook after the interview from a colleague who said that the masked man that the Inland Regional Center had been the same size and shape of the body. Officers learned that Farook had rented a black SUV, that fits the description as the perpetrator of the car, according to the report.

Officers of the pursuit of the couple in their getaway SUV were shot while attempting to pull them over. Farook eventually the car stopped on a residential street, police said. Farook left the vehicle and fired at the police with a Smith & Wesson M&P15 semi-automatic rifle.

A San Bernardino officer called shoot Farook five or six times during the shootout. “One of the rounds passed through Farook caused by a missing of blood on the impact,” the report said. “Farook fell to the ground, but was still in motion.” Farook was still with his gun when he was shot two times.

As Farook was dying, his wife was ducking behind a rear seat in the SUV. Officials said that it seemed like she was “blind fire in the direction of the officers instead of a goal.” She was dressed in black, with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and was wearing a load bearing vest with various spare rifle and pistol magazines, together with a airsoft neck protector and black safety glass.

Autopsies found that Farook was shot 27 times and Malik was shot at least 15 times.

In total the couple has fired about 80 rounds from rifles and a bullet from a gun. Officers fired 440 rounds of rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Several nearby homes and cars were hit by bullets, but no civilians were hit during the shooting.

The police washing the SUV, a black backpack with 14 rifle and handgun magazines, a military-style ammunition container with 870 shotgun cartridges are loaded in a 10-round clips, along with three rifle sighting systems and several bags filled with hundreds of ammunition cartridges.

According to the Riverside Press-Enterprise, the prosecutor said that the officials’ killing of the terrorists was justified. District attorney Mike Ramos called the officers’ brave actions.

“I call them heroes,” Ramos said. “You talk about the fact that brave — I’ll tell you, I couldn’t do it.”
