Samsung employee arrested for leaking trade secrets
A high-ranking employee of Samsung chipdivisie is arrested for leaking trade secrets to China.
The 51-year-old employee of the company was in July caught when he the company tried to leave with a number of documents about mobile processors, reports the Korea Herald.
From maandenland police investigation then showed that the man’s documents would have wanted to leak to China. He is also indicted for the misappropriation of company funds to the value of 100 million won (81.000 euro).
The documents that he tried to steal would contain information about the chip, which Samsung used in the Galaxy S6, S7 and Note 5, as well as the processor that will be used in the Galaxy S8, which are yet to appear.
