Sailor Brinkley-Cook, revealed that her famous mother is, as Well, responded to her elimination in Season 28 of ‘ Dancing with the Stars.”

After the completion of her mother, who was left out of the show after a serious injury during a rehearsal, a Sailor, and her pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy were eliminated after week six. The 21-year-old Sports Illustrated model explained that even though she was very sad, and her journey on the NBC show about her mother, and felt the sting.


“She was just as heartbroken as I am,” Sailor shared to Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t think any of my family or friends, and she didn’t think that was going to happen. So, it wasn’t just me but sad that this experience is ending for me, but for them as well. Because she liked to look at them, they kept tuning in. She was always my biggest support system.”

“My mom was always so excited,” she continued. “They’re going to have to come back to us [by the police] the next week. Everyone else sort of had the idea that they were going to be in this show and its roots.”

Brinkley-Cook, stepped in front of her mother, at the eleventh hour, when the 65-year-old, injured her wrist and arm, and just before the Season 28 premiere.


The ABC and the BBC-Studios, told Fox News at the time: “During the rehearsals for the premiere of “Dancing with the Stars’ Christie Brinkley suffered injuries that required surgery on her wrist and arm. It is not in a position to continue its planned participation in the show. To keep it all in the family, and her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, is a Sports Illustrated model, has decided to step in quickly in the hours to learn the whole routine and will be competing in her mother’s place for the remainder of the season. We wish to Live a full and speedy recovery, and look forward to seeing her in the audience, where possible, and are proud to support the Sailors.”

As well as explained to “GMA” in a statement at the time: “in the world of Showbiz, it is all about how to get out of a break, and a Sailor, and I’ve been on ‘Dancing with the Stars” this season.”

Brinkley-Cook, soon got into it to begin with, learning of her mother’s dance moves, a couple of hours before her first live “DWTS” performance.

“I’m doing this mostly for my mom. I want to make her happy, and her pride and joy,” she said. “She loved to do. She loves to dance and she loves to perform, and get out of pain, it was her worst nightmare.

Brinkley-Cook, took to Instagram on Tuesday to lament the loss of a further.

“Last night, it was heart-breaking. I was so not ready for this experience to be complete so quickly, but wow, I am grateful for every single minute of it,” she wrote, in part. “I loved every sweaty moment in the rehearsal studio, pushing myself, in the past, so a lot of inhibitions, and insecurities, and laugh my way through it all with my friends.”
