CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has been voted ‘ Man of the Year by the University of Harvard, the Hasty Pudding, a student theatrical group.
The group said in a statement Friday it is “proud to honour such a talented and varied actor, whose seamless transition in multiple genres captures the audience and keeps them coming back to see what the next one will be.”
In accordance with tradition, the actor who played the title role in the 2016 “Deadpool” will be toasted by the group of students, and before receiving his pudding pot on Feb. 3
Hasty Pudding promotes itself as the country’s oldest collegiate theatrical organization that traces its roots back to 1795.
Last year, the Man of the Year was Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Previous winners include Bob Hope, Warren Beatty and Robin Williams.
The 2017 Woman of the Year has not yet been announced.
