Russian plane with 91 passengers and crashed in Black Sea
A Russian plane with 91 passengers on Sunday morning crashed in the Black Sea. The aircraft disappeared shortly after taking off from Sochi on the radar.
The Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft, with 83 passengers and 8 crew members on board. The Russian ministry of Defence reports that debris of the plane near the coast are found.
The plane, belonging to the Russian ministry of Defence, was on the way to the Syrian province of Latakia. It is still unclear what happened and whether there were any survivors.
On board were nine journalists and musicians of the Alexandrov Ensemble. The musicians were scheduled for a Nieuwjaarsoptreden on the Russian air base in Latakia, reports a spokesman of the Russian ministry of Emergency situations.
The unit disappeared around 5.20 am (local time) of the radar after a maneuver above the Black Sea. Then got air traffic controllers lost contact with the pilots.
There is now a large-scale search underway, is set in the region Region of Krasnodar. It seems, according to news agency RIA that the device has crashed due to a technical fault.
