Russell Simmons’ rape accuser to sue for $10 million

Rap mogul Russell Simmons speaks at a press conference along with members of the Justice League NYC to present a list of demands at City Hall in New York, December 10, 2014. The league, made up of juvenile and criminal justice advocates, artists and experts, and formerly incarcerated individuals, presented the list in response to the failure of a Staten Island Grand Jury to indict police officer Daniel Pantaleo for the chokehold death of Eric Garner.

Russell Simmons is confronted with another accusation of rape and a $10 million lawsuit.

In the court documents submitted and obtained by Page Six on Friday, a woman accused the disgraced hip-hop mogul, 60, of sexually assaulting her in a hotel and threatens to rape her son if she does not comply.

The woman, referred to only as Jane Doe in the suit, says she and her elementary school-age son attending a concert in Sacramento for an artist who worked with the Def Jam founder, when he invited them to the backstage. They are accompanied by Simmons in his hotel, a bar and a nightclub after the weaning of her son with a babysitter.

The woman claims she later returned with Simmons, which is in the centre of sexual assault allegations months — to his hotel, but he says he assured her that he was not interested in having sex with her, as if he was in a relationship with a “famous” model. But after “reluctantly” joining him in his room, and she claims that he is the door, and told her, “I’m going to f–k.”

“[The] Plaintiff says she had no intention of having sexual relations with Simmons — but he replied, ” I’m going to f–k you, or I’m going to f–k your son. You decide,'” according to the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

She claims that he threw her on the bed and raped her. She is now looking for at least $10 million in damages over allegations of violent rape and emotional distress.

“As a father of a young daughter, I am grateful that my client and the other women who had the courage to these cases that will help to make the world safer for women everywhere,” the wife of the lawyer, Douglas Mastroianni, told Page Six on Friday.

Simmons denied the allegations in a statement to Page Six on Friday.

“I vehemently deny all allegations made against me,” he said. “They shocked me to my core as I have never been abusive or violent in any way in my relationships with women.”

“I have submitted myself to several lie-detector test,” Simmons’ statement continued. “I refused, forced sex and sexual harassment allegations brought against me in every test that I have not answered the question,” Have you ever physically forced a woman to have sex?’ I went for a lie-detector test.”

The famous music producer — a father of three who was once married to Kimora Lee Simmons, is confronted with accusations of sexual misconduct since the fall of 2017, including an accusation of attempted rape by the PR guru Kelly Cutrone.

Simmons started with a #NotMe campaign on Instagram in response to the #MeToo movement. Later he has stopped the initiative after saying “that this is a time for women to speak.”
