A pug whose mugshot went viral is back with her family after New Jersey police tracked down her owners and collected the necessary — and delicious — bail.

Bean the pug escaped from her owner of Cape May home Sunday. The dog is a “pug mug” quickly went viral after Cape May police has posted on Facebook.

“This is what happens when you run away from home,” the police wrote, noting the pooch was caught during the “sneak through yards,” just a few steps away from the famous beaches.

Agent Michael LeSage said he found the Bean in a garden and when he the dog in his cruiser, the dog could not hop in the car on her own, he told NJ.com. So LeSage lifted her up.

It took a few hours for the Bean of the owners to figure out where they scampered.

Hadley Hubbard, Baltimore, Maryland, resident, thanked the police and posted on social media that the Bean was asleep after an exciting time behind bars.

Bean paid her bail in the cookies, LeSage said. It was not immediately clear what kind of cookie, however.
