Royston Drenthe (29) put point behind career

Royston Drenthe will definitely not go back as a footballer. The 29-year-old Dutchman opts for a future in music.
“I stopped playing football”, he confirmed Thursday opposite Voetbal International. “I’ve made my choice.”
Drenthe was last under contract with Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates. After his commitment since last summer ended, it was the midfielder clubloos.
In 2006, Drenthe at Feyenoord at the age of 18 making his debut in the professional football. Thanks to a strong performance in the Netherlands under-21 at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS in his own country, he earned in the summer of 2007, a transfer to Real Madrid.
At the ‘Royal’ knew Drenthe is never to work up basisspeler. After three years rented the Madrid defender believes him to Herculas Alicante and a year later, the Dutchman on a rental basis, the switch to Everton.
In the remainder of his career played Drenthe successively for Alania Vladikavkaz, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Erciyesspor and Baniyas.

The career of Royston Drenthe is at an end. In the 2006/2007 season he experienced at Feyenoord his first year as prof.
A year later he was with Orange under-21, under the direction of Foppe de Haan, the European champion in their own country.
Drenthe earned a transfer to Real Madrid, where he together with Wesley Sneijder was presented.
In Madrid knew the Dutchman is not on to work as a basisspeler. However, he was champion with Real.
In 2010, Drenthe rented out to Hercules Alicante.
On november 17, 2010 and played in the midfield under Bert van Marwijk as a substitute his only international match.
A season later, Drenthe of Real Madrid-mercenary the shirt of Everton.
In the years that followed he played for Alania Vladikavkaz, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Erciyesspor and Baniyas.

Dutch national team
Drenthe came in his career, once for the Dutch national team. On 17 november 2010, he came under then-coach Bert van Marwijk in the final as a substitute in the field in a friendly against Turkey (1-0).
On the roll of honour of Drenthe features in addition to the won youth european CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 the championship with Real Madrid in 2008, and the profit of the Spanish Super Cup a season later.
