Royal visit for year old choreographer Hans van Manen
Choreographer Hans van Manen is Tuesday 85. On the 15th of september in Amsterdam, the festive premiere of Ode to the Master and king Willem-Alexander will attend this.
The National Ballet brings this performance as a tribute to his hard, often award-winning choreographer.
The program includes three works Of Moons previously made for The National Ballet: 5 tangos in 1977, Sarcasmen from 1981 and Symphonieën of the Netherlands from 1987.
New for The Dutch National Ballet is On the Move, that Of Moons in 1992 for the Nederlands Dans Theater. In the premiere is a one time Humdrum danced, Van Manen’s choreography from 2014, made for the German Ballet am Rhein.
Hans van Manen has now 125 ballets invented and is still active. Over fifty groups perform his ballets, and that brought him this year already in various countries, because he is happy with the preparations.
Company Introdans in Arnhem gave in January, kicked off the festivities, with the performance CHEERS FOR HANS.
