‘Roman Polanski wants to US to verkrachtingszaak to finish’
Roman Polanski would plan to go back anyway to return to the United States. The director would still have the court case surrounding an alleged rape of a minor want to quit.
The US is demanding for years that the director is extradited, but that requests by Polish courts rejected. The director lives and works in Paris, but also has a house in Poland.
In december 2016 was in appeal, a request for extradition is denied. According to TMZ would be the lawyer of the director information requested in the hope the matter now once and for all to quit.
The entertainmentsite reports that a judge in Los Angeles years ago, has determined that the director 48 days in prison had to stay for the offence. It would a sound recording, of which Polanski is hoping to find.
The director was at that time 42 days in prison for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old in 1977. In Switzerland he was again 334 days held in custody. Polanski has always maintained that the sex with mutual consent.
Polanski hopes that the completion of the case will ensure that he no longer as a fugitive is seen and can freely travel between Europe and the United States.
