Roller coaster riders thrown, rescued in Daytona Beach boardwalk after the car derails

Riders continued to dangle after a roller coaster car derailed.

Two people have reportedly been injured and a number of riders were stranded after a ride of a malfunction caused the coaster cars to derail, at the Boardwalk in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The incident happened around 8:30 when a roller coaster went off the road. Daytona Beach Fire department crews arrived on the scene and working to rescue riders of the cars.

Two riders were ejected and fell 25 feet to the ground, FOX35 reported.

According to the officials, the riders are still hanging from the ride.

There are no reports of serious injuries.
