Roda JC remain in the Eredivisie after a narrow victory at MVV
Roda JC has Sunday afternoon save their lives in the Premier league secured. The team from Kerkrade won the return in the decisive play-off against MVV 1-0.
The heenwedstrijd in Maastricht last week was in a goalless draw ended and so was the 1-0 victory of Tottenham enough in the Eredivisie to continue.
Daryl Worker signed after 26 minutes for the only hit in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium. The defender headed home a corner from Adil Auassar. MVV played a large part of the second half with ten men after a red card for Nick Kuipers.
By the defeat plays MVV next season again in the Jupiler League. The last time that the club from Maastricht at the highest level came out, it was in the season 1999/2000.
For Roda JC, that last week, coach Yannis Anastasiou was dismissed, this will be the third season in a row in the Premier league. The People promoted in 2015 at the expense of NAC to the highest level. The team from Breda to play later on Sunday against NEC for a place in the Premier league.

MVV, that as the seventh ended in the regular season, had a strong initial phase in Kerkrade. After nine minutes, Luis Pedro, to the left, but goalkeeper Benjamin van Leer saved well on his shot.
It was Roda that then in the 26th minute on lead came. Worker walked free and headed home a corner from Auassar through the ground behind goalkeeper Bo Geens.
MVV got a quarter of an hour after the rest a disappointment to process. Kuipers went on the leg of Mikhail Rosheuvel and had on the advice of the videoscheidsrechter a direct red card by referee Ed Janssen.
With a man less, came MVV only sporadically for the purpose of Roda, but more than speldenprikjes shared the visitors. Roda was just for a time close to the decision via the counter, but the use of Celestin Djim missed power.
MVV hoped in the seven minutes injury time even on a fluke in the front, but Tottenham continued to simply stand tall and plays the next season in the Premier league.
