Robin Van Persie and Babel back in pre-selection, Orange for the world cup kwalificatieduels
Robin van Persie and Ryan Babel are included in the pre-selection of national coach Dick Advocaat for the world cup qualifiers of Orange against France and Bulgaria next month.
Both attackers were long time out of the picture for a spot in the Dutch national team. Fenerbahçe attacker robin Van Persie played on the 13th October 2015 in the european CHAMPIONSHIPS-kwalificatieduel with the Czech republic (2-3 defeat) 101e and last international match.
Lawyer expects that the 33-year-old Van Persie, who has no fixed goals in Fenerbahçe, still can be of value for Orange. “Last year I worked with him. It is a player that we might be best able to use.”
Babylon (30) played on 15 november 2011 in a practice game against Germany in his most recent duel for Orange. The 42-fold international is basisspeler with Besiktas and last season champion with the Turkish club.

Also, Donny van de Beek is in the 32-man pre-selection of a Lawyer. For the 20-year-old midfielder from Ajax, who all the youth selections of the KNVB to withdraw, it is his first election.

Orange continues its world cup qualification on August 31, with the important away game against France. Three days later in the Johan Cruijff Arena, the duel with Bulgaria on the program.
The netherlands is currently in second place in group A, three points behind lijstaanvoerder France and number two in Sweden. Only the group winners will position itself directly for the world CHAMPIONSHIPS next summer in Russia.
