Robber grabs for € 15 million in diamonds in Cannes
An armed man has for 15 million euros in diamonds captured during a robbery on a shopkeeper in the French Cannes. The man fled after that at ease on foot, according to the local justice.
The victim was a luxury jewelry store on the famous boulevard Croisette, in the resort. The thirties occurred Wednesday as the chic customer, and asked if he what jewelry with diamonds was allowed to see.
When he starts defensively before further relaxing saleswoman was afgescheept with a catalogue, and he drew a gun and threatened he with a hand grenade. He wore the staff on showcases to open. A security guard had to lie down on the floor. The robber took a grip in the showcases, and disappeared.
The extremely calm perpetrator wore except for a pair of sunglasses no gezichtsbedekking. He is without a trace.
Not the first time
It is not the first time that the fashionable French seaside town is ravaged by juwelendieven. Two years ago, just before the festival of Cannes a loot of 17.5 million euros brought from a shop of Cartier. Four armed men raided the jewelry store next to the famous Carltonhotel in broad daylight, when two employees and a customer in the store stood.
Also in 2002 and 2009, thieves millions in jewels loot. Cannes is known for its luxurious shops full of jewelry, designertassen and haute couture.
