Robben ready for comeback at Bayern Munich
Arjen Robben is ready for his comeback at Bayern Munich. The 33-year-old vleugelspeler is recovered from the kuitblessure, during his vacation down at a game of tennis.
Trainer Carlo Such told on Sunday that Robben is fit enough to be at the tournament, the Audi Cup, Tuesday and Wednesday in their own Allianz Arena, to join in. He will make his first minutes of the preparation.
The captain of Orange had the oefencampagne of Bayern in Asia, skip it. Together with the also injured defender Jérôme Now, he worked in Munich on his recovery.
At the Audi Cup, a friendly tournament, playing Bayern on Tuesday against Liverpool, followed by the Wednesday, Atletico Madrid or Napoli.
Saturday is the first competitive match of Bayern this season. The ‘Rekordmeister’ then plays for the German Supercup against cup winner Borussia Dortmund, the club of trainer Peter Bosz.
The Bundesliga starts for Bayern, over the past five seasons champion, on Friday, August 18, at home against Bayer Leverkusen. For Robben is his ninth season in the service of the German football club.
The next international match of Orange is the important world cup qualifier on 31 August in Paris against France. Three days later plays, the team of coach Dick Advocaat in the Arena against Bulgaria.
