Robben is still missing in Orange, The Free, called

Stefan the Free-will after a year of injuries back in the final selection of Orange for the world cup kwalificatieduels with belarus and France that the KNVB Friday announced. Arjen Robben is missing in it.

Orange plays at 7 and 10 October in the world cup qualifier at home against belarus and France.

The Free played in september 2015, his last international match. Against Turkey he suffered a heavy knee injury, which him almost a year to the hand held.

Arjen Robben is not part of the 23-man selection. The injury recovered captain was missing earlier in the pre-selection. If Robben this weekend in the basis are at Bayern Munich, he might still be summoned.


“Maybe he starts Saturday in the basisformatie of Bayern Munich”, says Blind. “Then maybe we can still be with the KNVB, Bayern Munich and Arjen himself to sit down.”

“But as it looks right now, it is still too early. Arjen would love to. He cannot wait. But we have also with his club.”

Robben played his last international match in november 2015. This week he made as a substitute against Hertha and Atletico Madrid, his first minutes for Bayern Munich this season.

“He is very long gone,” says Blind. “Two small games, to score nothing. Arjen has also with his club. But if there is still an opening, then we’ll look at how we can fill.”

PSV midfielders Jorrit Hendrix and Bart Ramselaar and AZ defender Ron Vlaar were in the pre-selection, but are due to an injury not recalled. From the pre fall further Michel Form, Vurnon Anita and Kenny Tete.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Memphis Depay are openieuw not called by the Blind. The two attackers were already in the pre-selection.

With five players is PSV supplier in Orange. The team is three players, Ajax and Southampton provide two internationals.
