Rob de Nijs has eight weeks in bed must lie because of a crash after a gig in Belgium.
That explains the 75-year-old singer to The Telegraph. Although The Nijs three fractures suffered in the fall, he wanted to first just go home. Call an ambulance “was simply not in him”.
The crash took place on 13 October in the Belgian Alsemberg. The Nijs ran after a gig back to his car, when he was approached by a group of fans. “That may, of course,” says the singer, “but in my attempt to pose, I missed a rung of the schouwburgtrap and there I was.” The singer broke his ankle, leg and pink.
Eight weeks had De Nijs then stay in bed. According to his wife Henriette showed the singer and actor is a true “movie buff”.
The singer is now restored, just in time for a series of concerts and his own birthday, on december 26.
