‘Riverdale’ Season 4 premiere to honor the ‘fallen friend’ Luke Perry

Luke Perry, will receive a final sendoff on the “Riverdale,” as soon as the show returns this fall.

On Wednesday, the series creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa turned in the fourth-season premiere, titled “In Memoriam” is a tribute to the late Perry, who is portrayed by Fred Andrews on the CW’s series, after the actor’s death at the end of March.

“It’s probably one of the most important episode of #Riverdale and we will do this year, but if it doesn’t have. As a tribute to our fallen friend. Be grateful for the opportunity to be in honor of Lucas & Fred, ” Aguirre-Sacasa said on Twitter.

Perry, who has appeared in all three seasons of “Riverdale, passed away at the age of 52 after a stroke. Its final episode aired in the month of April.

“As always, Fred’s pass on words of wisdom from Archie. A nice, genuine moment between a father and his son. Wish this scene could go on forever,..,” Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted at the time, as you can see series star KJ Apa, who plays the role of Fred, the son of Archie Andrews.

The Apa, 22 and, later, honoured to be a TV dad with a sweet message on Instagram, writing, “Rest in the love of it.”

“Riverdale” returns to The CW on Wednesday the 9th of October.
