Rijkaard (54) will definitively not return as head coach

Frank Rijkaard excludes that he ever returns as a head coach in the football world. The 54-year-old Amsterdammer suggests that he has more value on other things.

“May I ever again open stand in front of a function in football, but then I’m fully behind. Only that not as a trainer,” says Rijkaard Saturday against The Telegraph.

The last job of the 73-fold international came out in January 2013 to an end. Rijkaard was sacked as coach of Saudi Arabia. A year later, ” he said with a blow to the arm has no ambition to have as a trainer.

1998

Rijkaard, who as a player came out for Ajax, Real Zaragoza and AC Milan began his trainersloopbaan in 1998. He then became coach of the Dutch national team. With Orange he held out in 2000 to the semi-finals at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS in their own country.

In 2001, the former midfielder with Sparta Rotterdam for the first time a club under his wing. With the club from Rotterdam relegated in his second sezoen from the Premier league.

At Barcelona knew Rijkaard a successful period of five years. In Camp Nou, he was succeeded by Josep Guardiola. There was Rijkaard a year at Galatasaray and a half years in Saudi Arabia at the helm.
