Right hand is doing in september ruling in the case of Max Verstappen
The court in Amsterdam on september 6, with a verdict in the case that Max Verstappen filed against online supermarket Picnic.
Picnic placed at the end of september 2016 on Facebook a video that almost immediately was removed. It was a variant on the advertising of supermarket chain Jumbo, which the real Max Verstappen messages delivers.
In the video was a lookalike of Verstappen. Jumbo is a major sponsor of Verstappen.
During the meeting, stressed the Picnic that the film as a joke was intended, and that the production of the video is not more than 200 euro had cost. The delivery service and deemed consent of Verstappen does not need, because it is a parody.[[video:video]]
The management of Verstappen claimed earlier to 350,000 euro from the online delivery service. “We have to calculate what the commercial value of the movie would have been if we advance agreements were made,” explains Vermeulen. “This may be what our concerns really are not. The court is entitled to a ruling on our claim. It is also to become clear for similar situations in the future.”
