Riddersculptuur Tom Claassen at the Lowlands festival
A ten-metre-high sculpture by the sculptor Tom Claassen will get next weekend at a prominent place at the Lowlands festival in Biddinghuizen. Commissioned by Museum de Fundatie and Lowlands created Claassen’s sculpture ‘Mikkel’, a ridderfiguur.
The image is built up from a pile of parts that are reminiscent of pebbles or stones. After the festival is the creation of Claassens in the sculpture garden of Kasteel het Nijenhuis between Heino and Wijhe.
Those who are on Lowlands, and the image still wants to see may to 31 October free of charge on presentation of the wristband of the festival.
It is not the first time that Museum de Fundatie and Lowlands joint art purchases. On the festival grounds were already three times earlier works of art, which later had a place in the sculpture garden.
