Ricky Gervais has fired back at critics who have called him “transphobic” jokes on Twitter.

In a separate post, Gervais, 58, said of the backlash, explaining that he appreciates the opportunity to fire back.
“I’m not trying to be rude, but more and more people have been offended by any joke, especially on twitter, the funnier I find it,” said Gervais. “And the angrier the tweets, the more chance you have of mine, to use and to run, to laugh, and deal in cash only. The PC culture, it is not the killing of a comedy. The ride is what it is. As it is always done in the past.”
