Paulina Porizkova broke her silence in a small way, and, after the death of her estranged husband, and The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek.
Porizkova, 54, posted a photo of the flowers on the left outside of the New York City town house that she and her Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer shared it, writing simply, “Thank you.”
The former supermodel was found Ocasek unresponsive and unconscious, in their Manhattan home on Sunday.

Emergency responders pronounced the Ocasek dead at the scene. He was 75.
Porizkova and Ocasek met in 1984 on the set of The music video for “Ride.” They were married in 1989 and share two grown-up sons.
In 2018, Porizkova has announced that she and Ocasek had to be separated after 28 years of marriage.

“Our family’s always been — and still is — a well-built car,” Porizkova said on Instagram. “If the four of us are together, we’re able to go wherever the road takes us. But, like a bicycle, my husband and I no longer have the pedal all together. We are, therefore, landing in the water with the bike as well. Rick and I have been peaceful that is separated from the previous year. The picture of the happy family, in fact, a happy family, photos, we are no longer a couple.”
