The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about a black male enhancement pill that ensures long-lasting erections.

The doubtful drug is sold under variations of the name “Rhino” in service stations and supermarkets, usually in single-dose packages.

But it contains potentially dangerous ingredients, including a number that are not listed on the packaging. A part of the hidden ingredients are similar to those found in prescription erectile dysfunction pills Viagra and Cialis.

The FDA said that it received messages from people who have experienced chest pain, severe headaches and prolonged erections after taking “Rhino” pills.

Some cases resulted in “a surgical procedure and hospitalization due to extreme drops in blood pressure,” the agency said.

The pills are also sold on eBay and Amazon.

The hidden ingredients are phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors, which can interact with nitrates in drugs used for the treatment of people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease, the FDA warned.

“Over the past few years, the FDA is the control of the sale of male enhancement drugs that are often proposed as food supplements and that contain hidden and potentially harmful active drug ingredients,” said Donald D.
