Republican senator John McCain has brain tumor
The Republican senator John McCain has a brain tumor. Reports that a spokesperson of the Us presidential candidate of 2008.
The 80-year-old McCain is in his home in Arizona recovering from a surgery. Last week the senator to undergo surgery for a blood clot above his eye to remove.
It is a brain tumor has come to light. From examination of the tissue showed that it is a glioblastoma. The blood clot was a result of the brain tumor.
“McCain and his family to see what further treatment options”, in a statement by the spokesman. “A treatment option is, for example, a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.”
The senator is being treated at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. McCain has been treated for skin cancer. In 2000 he had a melanoma removed.
McCain is, since 1987, senator, on behalf of the state of Arizona. In 2008, he was the Republican presidential candidate for the elections. McCain explained it, and ultimately against the Democratic candidate Barack Obama.
