Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan acting confirmed, migrants, prisoners are of us not in Florida and sanctuary cities, Griff Jenkins reports from Washington.
EXCLUSIVE: Republicans renew their fight against the “sanctuary cities”, with a new draft of the law, the pull to immigration, the funding of areas of law, shield illegal immigrants from deportation – and the simultaneous protection of the law-enforcement authorities, which, according to Federal law.
The bill, introduced by house freshman Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, looks for the cut-off federal law enforcement grants to States that do not comply with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer requests. Gooden, in an interview with Fox News, said the cuts are focused and designed to sting scofflaw States, without damage to key priorities in enforcement.

“We are not to be granted on terrorism, readiness, drug enforcement, or other DHS, regardless of immigration,” he said. “This is in no way to interfere with law enforcement proceedings that are underway, such as those granted.”
The push is a more targeted version of a stalled effort the Trump administration, which is trying to cut law enforcement grants from the sanctuary areas in the year 2017. The Ministry of justice wrote 29 sanctuary jurisdictions in November of 2017, to say it to law enforcement authorities refuse granted on the basis of their policy.
But the step of the hit was by a series of court challenges, of areas of the law, only Oregon has yet to be deleted, will receive the subsidies from 2017, a Ministry of justice spokesman told The Associated Press in March.
Gooden says announced his bill couples with the immigration proposal last week, President Trump. Trump presented overhauls, which deal primarily with legal immigration, but this law focuses on the fight against illegal immigration and the efforts to stall immigration enforcement.
A unique part of the draft law a provision, the law enforcement authorities, compliance with ICE tumblers protects against liability, and gives you immunity against any action brought by detained illegal immigrants. It also makes it illegal for a law to fire or discriminate against a law enforcement officer for compliance with an ICE detainer.
The bill has solid support, both traditional, conservative groups, and groups that advocate for the stronger enforcement of U.S. immigration laws Groups such as the Heritage Foundation, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and NumbersUSA have to come, in favor of the bill.
TRUMP, AGAIN, SAYS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE ‘GIVEN’ SANCTUARY CITIES, STATES
“Sanctuary laws are a threat to the public safety and disregard for the rule of law. This important legislation would ensure that the towns, is responsible for this dangerous policy, while still providing the financial and material support from the Department of Homeland Security,” FAIR spokesman Matthew Tragesser Fox News said in a statement. “Further, to protect-cooperative jurisdictions of dubious civil action is an important step in the promotion of state and local law enforcement agencies honor detainer notices of Federal immigration authorities.”
“We fully support Rep. Gooden effort to end sanctuary cities,” NumbersUSA’s Deputy Director Chris Chmielenski said. “His bill is a focused and common sense approach to tackle the problem, and I am confident that Democrats have the support of the rule of law would join the rule of law and the security of its citizens, Rep. Gooden in his effort to prevent the sustained release of criminal aliens and complete towns cooperation with immigration enforcement.”
Gooden’s bill rally conservative groups, but it faces a tough climb in the Democrat-dominated house of representatives. In the midst of a left-wing shift of the party as a whole, dozens of deputies and 2020 presidential candidate only sanctuary policy, but the abolition of ICE cream not have approved of completely.
Gooden is no sugar-coating the bill, the prospects in the current political climate on immigration.
“I’m not unreasonable, I think, that the Democrats admit even, we have an immigration problem, so it would be delusional of me to, I think, to get the Democrats on Board, with my invoice, or any invoice, which does something to this problem of illegal immigration,” he said.
However, he said that the Democrats see in some of the pro-Trump districts, there to confront immigration challenges.
The new bill comes, because the trump administration was taken under consideration of the ship firmly, the, illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.

To change “due to the fact that the Democrats are not ready, our very dangerous immigration laws, we are, in fact, as reported, give strong considerations to the placement of Illegal immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only” Trump tweeted in the past month.
The idea prompted a critical response from Democrats. “The extent of this government’s cynicism and cruelty can not be overstated,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spokeswoman Ashley Etienne said in a statement. “The use of human beings—including young children, as pawns in your warped game is to perpetuate fear and to demonize immigrants is detestable, and in some cases, even criminal.”
She added: “The Americans have an overwhelming rejected the administration of toxic anti-immigrant politics, and the Democrats will continue to advance immigration policy that will protect us and honor our values.”
Pelosi’s district of San Francisco was by the sanctuary of the cities under consideration.
