Rep. Cohen: ’80 to 90 percent” of the Dems on the House Judiciary Committee is ready to push for a Trump charge

House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., claimed on Tuesday evening that “80 to 90 percent” of fellow Democrats who sit on the Committee are willing to accuse President Trump.

Cohen, who made the headlines recently for the survey of Kentucky Fried Chicken to a hearing, to mock in an attempt the absence of the Minister of justice, William Barr, began by saying: the Democrats sit on the House Judiciary Committee, “are most interested in justice and the rule of law.”

“The legal Committee has, as a whole, is for a minimum of an investigation of the charges,” Cohen told MSNBC’s Ari Melber. “It would have two members, which is not to say particularly close to Speaker Pelosi, were on Board, but I would, most, I would say 80-90 percent of the Committee is on Board, to go forward.”
