close tovideo white house assigned former Council Don McGahn to defy congressional subpoena
To keep the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler had threatened, McGahn in contempt of Congress if he’s to testify; chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge reports.
Rep. David Cicilline, Dr. I., said, it is time for the impeachment requests, when former White House Counsel Don McGahn is a no-show for Tuesday’s planned congressional hearing.
Cicilline, a member of the Democratically controlled House Judiciary Committee, appeared on MSNBC and offered his reaction to deny that the White house has McGahn, to appear to a summons, on Capitol Hill and with the assurance from the Ministry of justice that McGahn has “immunity”, which do not require by law to testify before Congress, something Cicilline believed, was “legally wrong”.
“Let me be clear; if Not McGahn not testify, it is time to open an impeachment inquiry,” Cicilline said. “The President is engaged in an ongoing effort to hinder our ability to find the truth, to gather evidence, to do our job, and this keeps us really from the, ultimately, the search for the facts and do our work in terms of supervision.
“And I think we have now seen a pattern to interfere with where the White house of his efforts, our search for the truth. No one is above the law, including the President of the United States, and we expect that Mr. McGahn to come before the Committee to testify.”

This statement of Cicilline was welcomed by his first colleague, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Michigan, has recently been vocal with her accusations of President Trump.
“Let’s get this @David cicilline do!” Tlaib chirped add “#TimeToImpeach.”
