WELLINGTON, Ohio – Authorities say a relative move of a vehicle on an Ohio house accidentally hit and killed a toddler who had wandered into the driveway.
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, said the distraught relative called 911 after hitting the 22-month-old girl late Monday morning at a home near Wellington, about 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Cleveland. The child died on the spot.
The researchers determined that the girl had wandered into the driveway and it was apparently not visible to the driver, which in the first instance, not aware of the child had been touched.
Authorities did not immediately publicly identify the driver. They say that the case is still under investigation.
