Rekenuitblinkers in elementary education is scarce
The netherlands has few pupils who excel in maths and natural science.
This is evident from a worldwide onderwijsrapport about the science.
The Dutch arithmeticians have in twenty years is not so bad scored as last year, though the differences are very small. The United States, England, Norway and hong Kong are the Netherlands in recent years surpassed. For the natural science goes about the same.
State secretary Sander Dekker of Education finds it “a great achievement” that students who are less easy to come on Dutch schools they have a good level. “But we do children that are more able to handle short. We can no pleasure take,” he said Tuesday in a response.
Dekker wanted to be the last government’s term of office strongly for top talent in education.
