The Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht, the largest oudemuziekfestival in the world, has this time more than 71.000 lovers drawn.
This was a record, notify the organization. Last year there were over 65,000 visitors. The festival, ten days, Sundays closed.
The 36th edition of the festival was in the sign of the fact that five hundred years ago martin Luther, his criticism did hear on certain practices within the Roman Catholic Church, that the Reformation was brought. There was also a lot of music to hear from the sixteenth century, such as cantatas, liturgical hymns, and cheerful songs.
The Netherlands chamber Choir closed the festival this weekend by three other choirs, all the psalms to sing from the Book of Psalms. All the psalms were discussed.
