Gin and tonic remains on almost every menu in the cocktail bars, but you can do it yourself easily. Especially now that the free app Ginventory also available in English.
Which tonic is appropriate for which gin? There should be a garnish to the flavor to accentuate? The Belgian app Ginventory gives the answer. “Our app contains the ‘Perfect Serve’ of more than 2000 gins, such as those recommended by the distilleries themselves,” explains founder Bjorn Blockx. “You can also find in our app for more info about the gins: the flavor profile, the distillery, a photo – whatever. So is Ginventory a little bit of the Vivino for ginliefhebbers.”
Belgian gins in the spotlight
The past few months, there were a lot of Belgian gins added in the app. Our country is also the place where many fine gins distilled: Buss No. 509, Bishop’s, Cockney’s, Copperhead, Filliers, Ph. Collet’s, Strange Donkey, Forest, PJ, Aduro,… “There are almost weekly new Belgian gins on the market. We can’t follow all of them to add in our app,” says Blockx.
Not entirely illogical, therefore, that the app is now also available in Dutch. That provides not only information, but also all of your favorite gins. Thanks to partners such as gintonicshop.be, ginsonline.be and ginandwhiskyshop.be you can easily the bottle to your taste buy.
Ginventory was already more than 50.000 downloads in a few months time. The past year was the app continuously in the top charts of the App Store. The app is available for free for iPhone and Android.
