Recensieoverzicht: Girls Night Out is a bad female copy of The Hangover

Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon and Zoë Kravitz will play the leading roles in the movie Girls Night Out from the handgelopen hen’s party. Reviewers are hard: the film is a bad female copy of The Hangover.

The Volkskrant – Two stars

“Girls’ Night Out is a kind of The Hangover, but with women. Exceptionally, this kind of dastardly comedies with female protagonists, but new it is not: women were already zuipend and coarse in the mouth in films like Bridesmaids, Bachelorette and Bath Mums. (…) Many would still be saved with good timing. But still it is annoying that these women, despite the whores and cords but does not come off of the usual vriendinnengetrut.”

AD – Two stars

“The comparison with comic counterparts as The Hangover and Bridesmaids is inevitable. Unfortunately, this meager copy a long time so much fun not. Instead of the bizarre, downright hilarious combination of Mike Tyson, a tiger and a stray chicken in a five-star hotel, we get here to make diapers for adults, piemelspeelgoed and swingers. (…) To the director or the actors is not per se; the script is always exactly – or at all – next. And some moral lesjes dampen the fun at all.”

NRC – Two stars

“Half a decade ago were in comedies like Bridesmaids (2011) and Bachelorette (2012) all friends of the bride, diarrhea attacks, or spent too much drugs, alcohol and jealousy of the wedding in danger. Girls Night Out had a little something extra to add, that was a character that like to penispasta sucking and a sexy body. That last idea was also used earlier, in comedy Very Bad Things (1998). It is especially to the cast and not the script to thank for that Girls Night Out was still somewhat able to entertain.”

The Watchword – A star

“With experienced comédiennes as McKinnon, Jillian Bell and Ilana Glazer in the ensemble and Johansson as the center, have a jaded point of departure to raise no objection to, but all the talent is wasted on a hopeless lachvrij scenario by director Lucia Aniello and her partner, Paul W. Downs, which the groom plays. (…) Here committed by the ladies and the lord is constantly frantically stupid and unmotivated missteps that funny nor acceptable. This is a night to forget quickly.”

The Telegraph – A star

“Scarlett Johansson and her four feestbeestvriendinnen (including Kate McKinnon, and Zoë Kravitz) to do their stinking best to make the vrijgezellenfuif still smooth to draw. But their glaring lack of chemistry and comic timing as well as the zouteloze directed by Lucia Aniello (who also co-wrote the soft scenario) to create Girls ‘ night out is a party that you better can skip.”
