Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley said that it was an ‘honour’ to be pranked on ” Who Is America?”
Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley not seen their “Who Is America?” debut yet, but they are honored to be a part of Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest project.
“I am so honored that Sacha Cohen thought of a joke me and Slade!” Rossi told Page Six on Monday. “Even on his radar in every aspect, I feel honored that he even wants to be hanging out with us.”
The former “Real Housewives of Orange County”star appeared on Sunday night’s episode of the show, and while they don’t subscribe to Showtime, they would like to see all of their images from the four-and-a-half hours they spent with Cohen. They told us that the filming took so long because they respected Cohen’s character, the Israeli anti-terrorism expert Erran Morad, and they didn’t want to offend him while he was “teaching” them how to protect themselves and to explain its culture.
“The production company called us beforehand to tell us about the show and what to expect. And what she said was: ‘Look, this is a Mousad agent of Israel … he is a huge Asset supporter and he this and he that and we just want to make sure that you’re not going to be offended by what he says or does,'” Rossi explained.
They gave them the OK, but they were not prepared for the stunts that he asked them to do, such as having a Smiley to pretend to be a “large black man” breaking into their house. The couple said that they do not want to participate in something that could offend someone, especially their friends. Cohen also pulled guns and cable ties for a different segment with a Smiley.
Smiley said that he wanted to call the authorities at a certain moment during the filming, and Rossi told me that after she wrapped she was afraid that they were seduced by a real terrorist group.
As for the business card that Cohen, 46, gave Rossi, 39, at the end of their segment? Smiley, 44, threw it out their window when they realized that there is a layer of GPS-tracking-movie.
Page Six reported that the couple was harmed in February by Cohen. She thought about the joke after the interview with Tito Ortiz, which was also filmed for a potential segment. “Tito took only an hour and a half,” Smiley told us that on Monday. “So you can imagine how naive we were because we lasted four hours!”
So far Cohen has seduced Senator Bernie Sanders and “The Bachelor” star Corrine Olympios, among others.
For those who do not appear? His interview with Sarah Palin could be applied, and he tried to get Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, but they shot down the opportunity to film.
“I think he’s busting these political figures and well-known people and expose almost the lies they have told,” Smiley told us. “He had us for four hours, because he never got us. He never got us to break up or to do something that was controversial, because that is not who we are.”
