Rapper 21 Savage apologizes for ‘Jewish’ money lyrics that LeBron James posted

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James hit the NFL about the national anthem controversy, claiming the league is ” a lot of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality.’

Rapper 21 Savage apologized this week for his “Jewish money” texts that got LeBron James in hot water.

Over the weekend, James posted a video of himself listening to the 21 Savage track “ASMR,” which the text “We are still on that Jewish money, everything is Kosher.”

James apologized for the clip on Monday in a statement to ESPN, telling the network, “Apologies, if I offended anyone. That is not the reason why I chose to share that lyric. I’ve always [post lyrics]. That is what I do. I drive in my car, I listen to beautiful music, and that was the by-product of. So, I actually thought it was a compliment and of course it was not through the lens of a lot of people. My apologies. It was certainly not the intention, of course, to hurt anybody.”

Savage, whose album “I AM, I Was” was released Friday apologized for his comments made on Twitter for Christmas.

“The Jewish people I know are very wise with [sic] money so that is why I said we are gettin Jewish money, I never thought that someone will take offense,” 21 Savage tweeted Tuesday. “I’m sorry if I offended anyone, never my intention, I love all the people.”
