‘Putin removed from hollywood movies, to fear for hackers’
Russian president Valdimir Putin is removed from two hollywood productions out of fear for retaliation.
That writes The Hollywood Reporter on the basis of insiders. It would go to the movie Red Sparrow Fox and the film Kursk, about the sinking of the eponymous kernonderzeeër.
In the original story and script of spionagethriller Red Sparrow, with Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role, came the Russian president indeed.
But the producers decided after advice from safety experts to see a rendition of Putin out of fear of attack by the Kremlin-affiliated hacking groups. “A studio in a film Putin ridicules asking for problems,” says an expert.
Since the U.s. presidential election and the alleged role of the Russians therein played, is the interest for Putin in Hollywood increased.
Also research into possible links prior to the election between Donald Trump and his associates, on the one hand and Russia on the other hand, provides the necessary inspiration for filmmakers.
The Kremlin responded by news agency TASS that it is not known with the removal of Putin from the two hollywood productions.
“We know nothing about these movies. Not who they are, nor where they go”, said a spokesman of the Russian government who added that the Russians don’t shit what Hollywood does.
